Advocated for $175 million in potential City budget reductions for homeowners over the last three years – none of which would have impacted core services.
Public Safety
Reported crimes went down by 48% in Sonya’s ward from 2022 to 2024, significantly better than the 31% improvement citywide.
85% of Ward 1 residents feel safe walking alone at night, up 9% in just one year.

Improved traffic safety and mobility throughout her ward with more pedestrian crossings and strategic traffic calming measures.
